Here is my current study plan. It has three aspects:
1. Define all of the unique printings. I am following a cronological plan. I have completed a look at the 1935-44 watermarks, and am now just beginning an indepth look at the Ministeriales (officials for the eight government ministries), to be followed by a look at the typographed stamps.
2. The plate varieties by value (from 1/2c to 20 pesos)
3. Postal History, also chronologically (rates, cancels, markings, entires, perfins, box receipts).

I find a small RA for a 10c Type II with the 1E1 printing. Most other RA's I have seen from these printings are noticeably larger.
The 25c for this overprint was issued in 1937 and all of my specimens are 1E2 wartermark.

Thanks to both. No hurry: this is a hobby. My update to my booklet is in English and Spanish and it should provide plenty of text for a future translation.
thanks!

Tony,
congratulations to your website!
The European Soccer Championship is still in the Round Robin which
keeps enthusiasts glued to their seats in front of the TV set four hours a
day, but this morning, I finally visited somestamps.com. Great!
As my interest is in classic philately only, i.e., up to 1880/1900 (cf. my
website), I especially enjoyed the section about the first issue of Cuba.
The most recent addition to my collection (not yet on my site) are the
stamps of Spain issued under Isabella II.; now, I am seriously considering
to add Cuba ...
If I may make a suggestion: Collectors would profit even more from your
site if you added a bibliography. I am sure that you have an excellent
philatelic library, so, please let us participate.
Kind regards,

Chris:
Your suggestion for a bibliography is a brilliant idea. I will mull it over. I do have a reasonable philatelic library, even auction books for material I do not collect becuase I can't afford to (most of the German States Boker auction catalogs, the Baillie Collection, Ishikawa collection, etc).
About adding Cuba/Antilles to your collection, the one thing to worry about is all of the forgeries for the "I Griega." I very much hope you don't get stuck with any of those. Here is an article about them comparing some genuine to forgeries:
http://somestamps.com/pages-articles/049-064/article051-200501-cuba-i-griega.htm
This one is genuine, and a stamp I have had since 1982.
thanks

Here I include images of selected values with dated postmarks. After studying all of the issues for this watermark, I find that the 30c is only 1E1, and the 25c is only 1E2. It is interesting that stamps overprinted mostly in 1936, and in a small number of cases in 1937, are found used in 1939/40, when the "servicio oficial" issues were already in use. I postulate that these stamps were infrecuently used by this ministry.

Here I include three small format stamps. I still do not know if these overprint varieties are repeatable.
M nearly doubled.
A deformed.
M deformed.
